INVESTING IN OUR PEOPLE THROUGH EDUCATION
Developing Our Unique Natural Resource
Barbados' only natural resource is our people. Our intellect, skills and energy are all we have to produce the products and services to generate the economic activity to feed ourselves. Our brains are precious as we do not yet have oil, land, gold or other precious resources that are in high demand on the international market. Education is therefore a national priority and we must compete in the knowledge economy against the Americans, Japanese, Europeans, Asians and Latin Americans in higher skilled activities. I will work to:

1. Restore sensible access to free tertiary education

2. Protect the viability of the constituents investments in apartments by promoting a sustainable university campus;

3. Advance the reform of education to include creative thinking, innovation, entrepreneurship, values training, maximization of potential, and civic education from nursery to tertiary.

4. Champion continuous education programmes for all citizens including seniors so that our citizenry stay abreast and explore via technology the wealth of human knowledge and opportunity available to them.
